Our skin is the largest organ that whose job is to cover and protect our body.  Unfortunately, it is often ravaged by our diets, environment, health and more.  Per a 2016 study, Americans spent 1.5 million on skin care products in just three months time.  Most of these products contain additives, synthetics and chemicals that often do more harm than good.

In this class well explore the properties of essential oils, fixed oils, butters and other natural ingredients you can use to make your own your own skin care products like: salt or sugar scrubs, moisturizers, cleansers and more.

We will also:

• Explore 5 essential oils that help relieve many skin conditions from dryness to inflammation

• Explore ways to combine them with natural carriers to assist you with your skin care needs

• Learn the difference between hydrous and anhydrous products and the type of  preservatives they need, if any

• Create a salt scrub or body butter that works well with most skin types
